Pacesetter Companies Set the Pace

Having recruited a record 38 organizations as Pacesetters this year, Pacesetter Chairman Brent Parris, HR Manager at Eaton Hydraulics stated, “If the pacesetters do well, the campaign is successful.” Last year, pacesetter companies’ contributions were 38% of the entire campaign. This year, Brent has challenged the pacesetters to strive for 50%. A lofty goal, but one that United Way feels can easily be met with a Chairman’s leadership such as Brent’s. Included in the 38 pacesetter organizations are 14 United Way partner agencies. As recipients of the funds raised, these agencies want the community to know they not only talk the talk, but they walk the walk as well. They are setting the pace in funding the programs they represent, as well as, other vital programs within the community.
